“If I closed my eyes, it would be nearly impossible to tell that the sound was coming from two small bookshelf speakers. The sound rivals much larger units. The soundstage was just huge and the stereo image was excellent as well. Depending on the song, it appeared to be even wider than the speakers were. The response was neutral at the top but dipped off towards the low frequencies. The bass was very tight but not boomy or room shaking, which is great for only a 5.5″ woofer. If you want even more bass, you should get a dedicated subwoofer. Overall the HD6 was just pleasing to listen to. With such a large soundstage it was easy to get enveloped in the music.
